Gary has been an elite member of the auto refinishing community for close to four decades. He attended Cleveland Institute of Art, where he majored in industrial design. Gary’s vehicles have won many awards on the car show circuit… Best Paint, Best in Show and he was a finalist for the prestigious Ridler Award, the most prestigious award in the indoor custom car show industry. He also won the custom Kolor award at the Houston Autorama in 2012.
One of Gary’s most impressive custom vehicles, a 1956 Chevy 210 coup, dubbed “Shades of Love”, is now housed at the private and Elite JBS COLLECTION of rare and exquisite classic vehicles, owned by Laura and Jack B Smith Jr. of Elkhart, IN.
Gary has worked his magic on everything from a giant, 20 foot free form dragon statue to a completely refurbished early 20th century Mercedes Benz. He’s painted bicycles motorcycles, cars, trucks, and even high end custom guitars.
